NV BIOPROTECT PF

NV BIOPROTECT is composed of essential oils of Lavender, Tea Tree, Clove, Lemongrass, Cedarwood, and Thyme. In addition to increased stability, its nanoparticles are made up of strategic materials that act as nutritional sources for microorganisms, resulting in a "trap" system. Thus, when the microorganism degrades the capsule, it comes into contact with the antimicrobial blend, which damages the cell walls and membranes of bacteria, compromising the cellular integrity of these organisms and acting as a natural preservative with antiseptic and sanitizing properties. The NV BIOPROTECT active ingredient is ideal for formulations that seek to protect the user from the action of microorganisms while caring for the skin, providing multifunctionality.

ACTIVES INGREDIENTS

Tea Tree Essential Oil

Tea tree essential oil is a potent antifungal and its main compounds are cineole and terpinen-4-ol. Cineole acts as a marginally effective antimicrobial, meaning that it is an irritant to the skin that increases membrane permeability, facilitating the entry of other antimicrobial agents. Terpinen-4-ol possesses the main antimicrobial activity, as it alters the permeability and fluidity of the membrane, causing structural damage to the cell walls and membranes of fungi, compromising the cellular integrity of these microorganisms.

Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender essential oil balances oil production and has a toning effect on hair, as well as being useful in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis and dandruff. It presents fungistatic, fungicidal, and epithelial regenerative activities. The main components of lavender oil are linalool and linalyl acetate, which inhibit the formation of the germ tube and the elongation of hyphae in Candida albicans, reducing the progression and spread of the infection.

Thyme essential Oil

Native to the Western Mediterranean Basin, thyme is abundantly found throughout the south of France, Portugal, Spain, and Italy, and its leaves exude a strong aroma. Thymus vulgaris, commonly known as thyme, belongs to the botanical family Lamiaceae, and is an interesting herbal medicine from a cosmetic point of view due to its composition and various actions, such as astringent, antiseptic, circulation stimulant, antioxidant, antibacterial, and antifungal. The main constituents of Thymus vulgaris essential oil, called carvacrol and thymol, are related to its biological activity. Carvacrol has been investigated for its bactericidal effect, while thymol stands out for its antifungal and antibacterial effects.

Clove Essential Oil

Cloves are dried flower buds of a tree native to the Moluccas Islands, Indonesia. The properties of its essential oil are attributed to its main constituent, eugenol, which has an important antibacterial and antifungal effect. Clove oil has been shown to be effective against fungi isolated from onychomycosis, such as Candida albicans, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and Aspergillus Niger, among other fungi such as Fusarium oxysporum, Penicillium sp., and Trichoderma sp.
