NANO JAMBU BP
NV Jambu is an active ingredient encapsulated in biopolymer particles with particle diameter larger than 200nm. Encapsulation through the technology developed by Nanovetores allows the stabilization of sensitive components, therefore, complex of being formulated in their free form, providing NV Jambu an “anti-aging” effect.
Active Ingredients
NV Jambu is an active ingredient based on concentrated Jambu extract encapsulated in biopolymer nanoparticles with an enzymatic release trigger that acts locally, generating a paresthesia effect (senseless, num-bness and/or tingling effect) in addition to preventing and reducing the depth of expression lines, by relaxing and reducing collagen and elastin cell microtensions.
Spilanthes acmella var oleracea, known in Brazil as Jambu, is an herb that is part of typical dishes of northern Brazilian cuisine, such as “tacacá” and “duck in tucupi”. Its inflorescences are composed of yellow flowers and its leaves and flowers have a spicy taste that causes slight tingling and numbness on the tongue.
Jambu has important medical applications as it presents active principles such as saponins, spilanthines, affinins, phylosterins, cholines, triterpenoids and, particularly, spilanthol. Therefore, in traditional medicine, it is used as local anesthetic and analgesic, in the treatment of thrushes, herpes, throat affections, as well as in the treatment of skin spots, as insecticides, among other usages.
Spilanthol
Spilanthol has been used in the cosmetic area as an active ingredient for combating anti-aging signs. According to Bráz et al, with muscle contraction, structures of the dermis such as colloidal gel, cells and fibers (collagen and elastin, for example) undergo micro tensions that modify their structure and functionality. With time and repetition of movements, creases are formed in these points of tension on the skin. Spilanthol acts by relaxing and reducing these micro tensions and, consequently, reduces the formation and depth of expression wrinkles.
